Can the creator of an irrevocable trust who the trust is named after but not a trustee of obtain account information?

Or can only the trustee get information on account balances, etc?

The trustee is the only person with legal access to the account. They should be approaching the trustee for this information and not the bank. If they want it from the bank, I believe you would need a court order.
