We have a customer who has their first mortgage with us. They came in and wanted to refinance it. We pulled a new flood cert and realized that they were in a flood zone. The customer refused to buy flood insurance so the refinance fell through.
Now that we have knowledge that the property is in a flood zone, shouldn't we start force-placing the insurance on the mortgage he currently has with us?
