How do you track your institution's mandatory compliance training?

We have an online provider, but currently, I can only pull reports of each individual's transcripts, or a list by class (there are hundreds of classes) of who took it.

I'd like to stream line it and make it more user friendly so that I can tell rather quickly who needs what class to finish their quarterly training.

Can you pull a report of 'overdue courses'? That is the report we provide to managers monthly.

Our vendor (BVS) provides the ability to enter a date by when each indiviual's courses must be completed. Therefore, it's easy for me to run a "Past-Due" report to see who has not completed courses which should have been completed by the date I run the report.

You might want to double-check if you have the capability to enter a 'complete by' date and see if the vendor provides such a past-due report.

But to pull a list of overdue training, you'd have to assign them a course that they had to take, correct?

In my case, yes. All REQUIRED training is assigned by me (either individually as needed, or using a 'curricula' for new employees or specific to a new employee's job position. this way we ensure that all employees take the required courses.

If they decide to take a course on their own, then I wouldn't care about the date due.

I have a spreadsheet that I have all employees and all training assigned along with the date taken as well as the type (ie: AT annual training, IH in house, ABA american business association). I update my information whenever new training takes place. So far it seems to work for me.

Does your staff use any type of time tracking or ticketing system? If so, you can have them log their training there, which allows you to get the whole broad perspective, online, external, internal and mandatory.
