Pedaling along a scenic highwa...
So, I signed up to ride the MS 150 in September from Tulsa to OKC along Route 66.

While I am looking forward to the ride for the sake of the ride, I have also set a fundraising goal of $1,000 that I would like to shatter.

If a BOLer were so inclined, they could CLICK HERE TO MAKE A DONATION.

I have put a link out through Facebook as well, and I've already received a donation.

Also, if you happen to be a cyclist with the inclination to join us for this ride, you can join Team Gale Force and ride with us for 150 miles or so of beautiful countryside.

Thank you!!
Jeremy

Thanks, Mani. I confess that my interest in the MS 150 was simply in the challenge of the ride itself until our dear friend was diagnosed last year. Now that it has a personal meaning to me as well, I'd have to find a really good reason NOT to participate now. smile

Thanks for your support, Mani.

I have received 3 donations, all from BOLers. 2 of them from this link and 1 from my link on Facebook.

Just gotta say that this community of professionals rocks. That is all.

For measurement purposes, I am well on my way to my goal of $1,000 and already within striking distance of the goal set by the MS 150 organizers, $300.

Thanks again to those who have already given me support by making donations. You ladies are incredible!! smile

Hey Pup, I noticed on the web site that it shows the start and finish in Chandler. Does it make a loop? Have you decided how you are going to do your legs yet? Looks like there are options?

It's easier than you think...and you can opt to ride the 25 miler instead of the 85 miler...

And my handlebars are not very comfortable for sitting.

Alright, so I FAILED to finish the 100 miler last Saturday...

But, I WILL complete the 150 over two days for the MS 150. One 85 mile day followed by a little ol' 100k (65 miler) WILL HAPPEN!!

Thank you to those who have already made contributions.

By the way, I haven't quite reached my goal yet... whistle

Okay, so here's the latest update the upcoming ride:

I found out that halfway through the ride, we STOP and eat lunch. With that in mind, I am VERY confident that I will complete the long Day 1. In fact, I am considering riding the 100 mile ride on Day 1, which would make this the MS 165. smile

We shall see.

I am right at $300 in my fundraising efforts, and I am very proud to say that almost every donation that I have received in my name was from YOU!! BankersOnline peeps have accounted for all but one donation. You guys absolutely ROCK!!

I have reached my minimum goal of $300. smile

I have one week (with a family reunion between now and then) to take the next jump to my second goal of $750 and my ultimate goal of $1,000. Will I make it to either? Who knows, but this has been a very cool experience for me already, thanks you all (y'all, for you southerners).

I am thinking that I need to have a custom BankersOnline jersey made for next year's ride... smile

Pup...Can you do a yard sale or a bake sale? Those work pretty well.

OR you can find someone to donate a couple of items that you can raffel off. I'm sure Mrs. to be has TONS of ideas. wink
