I spent the night before my 50th birthday on Oxford, MS. We were travelling down the Natchez Trace and tried to find a place to stop. This was 2 years ago and tornado's had just gone through Alabama and there were utility vehicles everywhere and taking up all of the hotel rooms. We had to travel about another 30 miles and stayed in Oxford, MS.

I'd have to say L.A. as well. Traffic is a nightmare, parking stinks, and people on the Sunset Strip are stuck in the 80's. For the record, I do NOT wear spandex when my band plays in Hollywood.

Pulling people out of the ditc...

I can't think of any city that I would say i didn't like, i love tralleing to new locations, exploring new areas, and asking locals for their take on stuff...
I did enjoy my 1st trip to Chcago, i rented a car and re-enacted the chase scene for the Blues Brothers...
In NYC I've done pizza tours, and walked up to al kinds of people in Tribeca asking if they've seen Robert Deniro
In San Diego it's fun to ask the surfers when i should come back to have warmer water
In Dallas I just answer everyone with "ah-yup"
In Houston, I just tell them "shore is big round here"
In San Antonio, I tell them i'm looking for the Alamo so I can recreate the Ozzy experience
In Orlando I ask "hey, don't y'all have some sort of amusement park around here"
In St Louis, I ask waiters if there are any good beers in town
In Seattle, I ask for good local coffee, not that burned stuff in white cups (they either get it or get mad)
Nashville, Miami, Minneapolis, Wichita, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Austin, Key West, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Knoxville, Atlanta, Lexington, Washington DC...i've found something to enjoy in every one of them, and would be happy to visit any of them again...

Last time I went to New Orleans, I asked a police officer how to get to Bourbon Street and he said "Just follow the stinch"

I could happily live out the rest of my days without having to go to another big city.
*sigh*
Heading to L.A. tomorrow.

Lived in LA for 2 years, not ready to go back. I am a small city/town person anyways.

I don't know that I would want to live in DC but visiting and seeing the tourist spots is fascinating. I want to go back.

My wife lived in Baltimore for a few years before we got married. While we usually had fun when I visited on the weekends, living there was no picnic for her. Traffic, parking, noise, and smells were minor inconveniences compared to her being mugged, having her car broken into and all of her things stolen, then having her car stolen all-together, and finally being chased out of a fast food place for being the wrong color. All the cities I've been to have been fun to visit, but I don't want to live in any of them.
