Is there any reason that we should not use the term "professional" when we refer to our bankers/employees? The statement might say something like "work with a local professional...". The term is a description of them, not a title. I know "professional" and "expert" cannot be used in some professions without a true designation but want to be sure the same doesn't apply in banking. Thank you.

FWIW, we've used the term "professional" and "experts" in many of our advertisings from newspaper to billboards and have never been critized during exams for this. We are an FDIC bank.

The only directly prohibited term would be as follows:

Misleading use of the term “counselor”. Using the term “counselor” in an advertisement to refer to a for-profit mortgage broker or mortgage creditor, its employees, or persons working for the broker or creditor that are involved in offering, originating or selling mortgages.
