During a RESPA audit, it was discovered that even though a tolerance was cured, it was not done so correctly. Even though we are well past 30 days, we want to issue a corrected HUD and pay the customer for the cure. Can we cure for the difference of what we have already cured? For example if we already cured for $250 but after correcting, we should have cured for a total of $550, can we cure for only $300 and reflect the amount for the previous cure on the HUD? Or should we just cure for the whole amount?

I would only cure the additional amounts. Why pay them twice?

You've already done a partial cure.
You just calculated wrong.
So this time you're figuring from the last corrected HUD, not from the original one.
