Finished Allegiant and on to Horde! Interested to see if / when the Stone & Thimble novella crosses over.

Finished Horde this morning. It was good, and I'd recommend this series to those who liked Hunger Games, Divergent, Requiem, etc. (Spoiler alert, it ends better than Allegiant.)

Currently reading a series called The Deviants. I seriously got it because the police force are called The Compliance Officers. It's OK.

I definitely need to get some better books. The last 5 free Kindle books from Amazon were so terrible that I stopped reading them after about 10 minutes and deleted them. cry I just can't stand bad grammar, punctuation, and "horizontal polkas" that don't have anything to do with the storyline are just annoying.

Three different series that I'm reading right now will have their final books published within the next few months so maybe I'll go on a book fast until then. grin

Make sure you leave ratings/reviews on those, Sci. There's few things that annoy me more than to download a freebie with 25 5* ratings and glowing reviews only to discover it is riddled with the problems you describe. I suppose those authors must have all their friends and family leave ratings & comments without ever actually reading the books.

I always do. I've even had a few authors email me about my reviews. ::missing BOL mustache-twirling emoticon::

Cool! I've just about given up on the freebies because so many have been awful.

I always go to the 1 and 2 ratings first on the freebies and then work my way up.

Finished Allegiant yesterday. Must say I was surprised by the ended--never saw that coming! Started Horde yesterday afternoon and am really enjoying it so far.

About 40% of the way through The Death of Santini... No one's capitalized more on a screwed up family than Pat Conroy, but I still keep reading his books. I got to meet him(we passed on the beach at Fripp Island S.C. once and when I nodded he nodded back). They sell autographed copies of all of his books in the convenience store there.

I started Divergent Saturday night.. Finished it Sunday night and started Insurgent.. finished it last night (Monday) and started Allegiant today on my lunch break.. It is safe to say I should be done in the next 12-24 hours. I am loving it so far!

But I will be lost with what to read after. I am waiting on the last book of the Pure Trilogy to come out. I think it is in Feb 14?

Yes, it is Feb 2014, I am waiting on that one as well (thanks to you.)

Have you tried Ann Aguirre's Razorlands trilogy? Starts with Enclave, then Outpost and Horde. You'd like them.

I am thinking I will go to that one next, I remember you suggesting it but I had forgot the name. I won an iTunes gift card from my bank, so I plan on spending it all on books!

Since my daughter joined academic book club in school I had gotten to read "The Magician's Nephew" with her.

Next on her list is a book called "When Pigs Fly" I think. I've never head of it but the cover is cute enough for a 10 year old to want to read 17 chapters. LOL
