What about when someone says acrost? You know like the store is acrost the street. Does that not annoy anyone else?

FYI Back to the original start of this thread...internet ads. Just found out about a new product that prevents you from getting the ads. My computer guy and another geek friend swear by it. Search for AdTrap and if you have $139 you too can be virtually ad free. Ordered mine this weekend after seeing the difference between what my buddy got vs what I was getting for the same news websites.

One more while we're on the subject.....people (around me anyway) cannot properly use the word "text". Example: "He text (tex-ed) me last night." (He bragged about the sovereignty of his state to you last night?) Or...."i got a tex from him". (Human slavery has been abolished.)

Ok.....this has been an epidemic in my little world the last couple of days, so i have to get this off my chest: the word is "versus" not "verse"....it's the New England Patriots "versus" the New York Jets, not the New England Patriots "verse" the New York Jets. Ok....back to regular programming. I am going to have to agree on this one. My 12 year old uses the word verse all the time, I consistantly correct this, but he insists that on his video games, this is the word 'everyone' uses when they want to play against someone else - (ex. I am going to play verse Tom and I am going to beat him. Or I played verse Joe and he won.) I have explained the difference, and that 'everyone' is wrong and he shouldn't do it anymore, to no avail. Irritating is an understatement.
