Very good suggestion, I watched an episode of 20/20 or some show similar to that about people overseas purchasing used copiers for extremely cheap prices to extract the memory from them. Kinda scary huh?

Great point - I'm thinking of all that material that gets copied for subpoenas.....

That's why banks should have procedures to destroy the hard drives on all of their old / out of commission copiers. That's the norm - hopefully anyway !!!

There was a regulatory bulletin on this - maybe 2 years ago or so - and I can't put my fingers on it right now.

Our IT dept programmed our copiers to automatically clear memory after each copy job.
