Way, way south.
A friend of mine who just retired at less than 60yo tried to access the ACA Website, and here are her results, verbatim:

After numerous attempts, I finally was able to enter all my information to see if I'm eligible for health insurance that might be less than what I'm paying now. Talk about a disaster! Now the stupid site keeps rejecting my user name and won't let me in to check on the status. I tried everything -- from restarting my computer to selecting "forgot username" with no luck. I called the "HELP" desk and was told that there's nothing they can do for me -- it's a system glitch so just keep on trying. REALLY????? Now my social security #, all our income details -- you name it -- are floating around some inadequate web government site put together by a bunch of idiots.

I just called the HELP desk again. The guy said he'll send me a paper application -- oh he also assured me that no one can access my information -- I said "even me"!

I gave him my name address, etc. so he can send me the paperwork. After a long pause, he said he was having computer difficulties? I said "How IRONIC" the poor guy just had to chuckle. Man, what has our government turned into??

A CU, Where Regs Don't Apply
Secure? Really? I know I saw that at least one state's site was compromised already and that was some time last week I think.

More problems will come, I'm sure.

You are here
As healthcare is becoming one of the largest expense for many families I would believe that the CFPB would be interested and since the act is supposed to save money and is actually increasing costs to our employers and our self's. I would think the the entire product line would be a UDAAP violation. Would someone care to report it? smirk laugh

I saw a report that the estimate to build the site has sky rocketed! I don't recall the figure but was an insanely amount of money!

The amount I heard so far is $624 million. And it is not glitchy, it is a complete failure.

It took me over a week to get logged on. My sole purpose was to see how "affordable" it was. I had the same problems. It finally worked for me, but of couse I am not going to buy any insurance because it is a joke.

My favorite part what I would send myself the password reset link, I would click on it the SECOND it hit my inbox and I would get an error that I took too long to click the link. What?!?

We had an employee who tried to log on to see if it was affordable, but never did get on.

A family member has yet to be able see what his options are after being told by the state that his high risk pool insurance will stop on January 1.

It's not. Unless a 12.7k deductible or 1k a month premium is affordable.

WOWZERS!

I've seen somethings pop up on newsfeeds about high ridiculous deductibles and crazy premiums.

I went and looked at other insurance company's webiste to compare what I pay and my plan that I have. I couldn't believe some of the deductibles! How do you expect someone to be able to pay that much towards their healthcare along with their premium? In the few I found (not through the gov't website) the premiums were cheaper than I pay but lousy coverage.

I don't think there must have been any beta testing at all. How can anyone screw this up so badly? It's basic click and get info or click and register. Maybe they should have had Amazon do the website.

I registered after multiple attempts and multiple days and can't get in now either.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
well, in his teleprompter conference today the President said that the government has now hired the best and brightest IT people in the country and they are now working on it...my initital thought was why didn't you do that in the first place for something that was this critical. Must have gone with the lowest bidder initially...sheesh

"It's not. Unless a 12.7k deductible or 1k a month premium is affordable", Plus, having a waiting period of 18 months for pre-existing conditions. This was my wife's insurance 3 years ago, when she had to get an individual policy after cobra ran out.
