We want to establish a formal training schedule for our execs and board members. I am considering: BSA, Fair Lending, UDAAP, CRA. I am looking for the regs that have a borad application and/or that are "hot topics". I would be interested in hearing what courses you assign to your execs and board members. thanks,

I have never heard of assigning "courses" to board members. That training is usually face-to-face.

I do mine face to face. Occasionally I throw in a training DVD, minus any popcorn.

I would look to your exam findings and you own internal risk assessments. Where have you struggled, what is changing?

I would imagine by staying abreast of what is happening in our compliance world, you should have a pretty good idea what the 'hot-topics' are today.

Adiditonally, this subject has been hashed to death six ways to Sunday... a quick search will yield you several threads on this exact topic .

We assign board training through our online training program. It is at a high level. The biggest problem is trying to get the board to complete the training in a timely manner.

We want to use our online program as well for the officers. Probably won't have much luck for the board.

Just Jay: I'll check for other posts, as you suggested. As long as they are current.

We train face to face with our Board on BSA, Fair Lending, and a general regulatory overview (with "hot" topics/reg changes as needed), but we also give them access to the online training system (ours has a listing of recommended Directors courses - we usually have a few that utilize it, but not the majority). Our Executive and Senior Management are all assigned online training grids that must be completed annually (with quarterly due dates).

80's lady: Thanks for the info. For my execs I am thinking about a lending and deposit abbout overview and maybe UDAAP. We already cover BSA. What online source do you use? I don't see any recommendations for Directors? We use BankersEdge.

See page 102.

FWIW. We usually do Fair Lending, CRA, BSA, GLBA annually and provide a high level summary. Are present for any questions.

Hmmm. I like that one. Has it been updated to reflect the Dodd-Frank changes (specifically the ATR rules)?

This would be very helpful. Does anyone know if it has been updated yet?

Yes, this is the best I have seen thus far. Probably a nightmare to update for the DF stuff but it would be useful to know if they plan on doing the update and when. If plans don't call for doing so in the next quarter, for example, we can use this one and add our own DF info.

Sorry Trees - I just saw your post (we had our "Live" DF Training yesterday so it has been busy around here). We use BAI.
