So far:

Schiano, Kubiak, Frazier, Shannahan, Schwarz, Munchak Chudzinski out. Lovie, O'brien, Zimmer, non-union mexican equivalent Gruden, Caldwell, Wisenhunt, who-knows-what's-going-on-in-cleveand in.

Cutler gets paid.

Draft: Do the Texans take Clowney or a QB? Where does Manziel go? How fun will it be to laugh at Washington/Snyder when ST Louis is making the #2 pick?

Texans will trade for Mallett then take Clowney. Teams will be lucky to pass for 100 yards per game against them.

Manziel is hte next (Abilities wise) Tebow. Good college QB, a bust in the pros. I actually think TEbow would be better.

3 Texas A&M players will go in the top 20, including Manziel! He is a much better passer than Tebow!

The Browns job is toxic. I don't know who they are going to find to take that job. Last year was labeled a "rebuilding year" (which they have been doing since coming back in '99). They traded away the top running back and had a ton of injuries at the quarterback position, sat on $25 mil in cap money, but fired the coach because he didn't win.

Now there is debate going on as to whether or not Chudzinski is warning candidates to stay away from Cleveland, a few have withdrawn their names from consideration.

What a mess.

I didn't think it was possible to be worse than Washington but this may be, at least Washington spends some money (maybe not wisely).

I think this was a good move, Richardson seems pretty overrated and they got a first round pick in return.

They could look for Tebow as this may be his only opportunity to be in the NFL. laugh

i think Tebow is done in the NFL...but with the $25mm in guaranteed money and several years left with what he is owed from the contract, I think he may end up okay doing nothing

Anywhere I want to be
I question Clowney's work ethic. He took way too many plays off. Whoever takes him better know how to motivate him.

The Brown's job is probably the worst there is. They don't give coaches a chance to establish a system before firing them. Originally, I thought the Richardson trade was bad, but Richardson is looking like a bust. Look what Richardson couldn't do with the Colts.

Happy, are you referring to the ESPN contract? His Denver contract in 2010 was for 5 years and "only" 8.7 million guaranteed, which I think they paid out. The contract he signed with New England was for 2 years but had no guaranteed money.

Don't get me wrong, he doesn't ever have to work another day if he didn't want to, but I think the $25 million guaranteed is a little overstated.

NFL running backs not named Adrian Peterson are all basically the same.

The Browns are a dumpster fire. When Josh Daniels pulls out of consideration, you know you are in trouble.

Mel Kiper and Gil Brandt just put Johnny Manziel at the top of their draft boards. Interesting.

I don't pay much attention to, nor really care that much about the NFL, but i'm shocked that Richardson is apparently viewed now as a bust. I thought he was close to "can't miss" coming out of college. Maybe Bama burned him out with so many carries or something.

I wonder if having to stay in school had anything to do with it? If it did, i can't honestly blame him. You're risking 7 or 8 figures if you get hurt. I kinda think he should have sat the season out.

unless i'm reading it wrong, the Jets are on the hook for 3 years at $6mm per, so $18mm on top of the $8.75 he received from the Broncos

Agree about Ingram...i thought Richardson was much better than Ingram coming out of college (i know Ingram won a Heisman and Richardson didn't, but anyone who saw both in college i think would say Richardson was better...he was just a beast in college).

I guess I was unaware of a new contract with the Jets. Since it was a trade, the Jets would have only taken over the remaining term of the deal. Which I believe was $6MM total for 3 years.

It could have been higher if he had reached incentives.

Regardless, he had a sweet deal for the amount of time he played and the success he had in the league.

he received an up front bonus from Denver of $8.75mm...even if he never played a down that was his...he had a structured contract with the Broncos that was a low annual base with huge incentives...appears to have been restructured when he went to the Jets, with fewer incentive clauses and more guaranteed pay.

Plus, he watched his team mate Marcus Lattimore get his knee blown out last year and drop from a high round draft pick to a low round draft pick, losing $millions in the process.

I don't know that the criticism of him taking plays off is fair, a lot of teams double teamed him this year. It did help the other end, Quarles, become a first team All-American this year. Teams were so busy with Clowney that Quarles made a lot of plays.

Do you know how many years a Compliance Offier would have to work to even make the 8.75mm that he made for doing nothing? Pitiful!

Well, he didn't do nothing. Even if you think he was/is a horrible pro (and i do) he worked really hard in a super competitive, risky, field to become one of the best college QBs.

he did show up for practice and attend the games.

He is still trying to remove all the splinters from his back side.

I'm far from a Tebow fan, but i was actually impressed with him in Denver. I still think in the right situation, the guy could contribute in the NFL.

and another article I just read said that he has already blown through his signing bonus (it was listed in this article as $2.75mm) by donating 100% of it to various charities dealing with famine and world hunger...

anyway...
