Is there any specific guidance for KY that gives information regarding notification of dormant/inactive/reactivated accounts? Prior to the required notification that account will escheat to the state, does such a thing exist? Additionally, are there any federal regulations about notification before charging dormant fees? Or is this only disclosed at account opening in T&C or Truth in Savings and Fee Schedule? Thanks!

Yes...I have reviewed the Reporting document. It only refers to the 120-60 day notification prior to reporting to the state. I was looking for any information about notices required before the escheatment period notice. The KRS doesn't appear to specify what happens before you begin the reporting process. I wanted to check to see if there was any other notices required by state or federal for dormant accounts. Thanks.

I can unequivocally assure you there is nothing at the Federal level that addresses unclaimed property.
