Is anyone using ACL or IDEA? We really could benefit from data analysis software to help our auditors be more effective and efficient. I'd love to hear the pros and cons of any data analysis software your department uses. Maybe the size of your institution(s) as well. thank you!

I have used ACL in the past there is a huge learning curve but one set up is great for data manipulation.

There is also SAS which I have not used.

Running and riding everywhere ...
I've not. I cant justify the expense for a bank our size. We are $450 million in assets. We use our core processing system report writer and excel. Several local audit shops that are a bit larger use ACL and really like it but say you must use it frequently due to the learning curve issue Ed mentioned.
