Once that exhibition tour is complete, the album will be sold for, probably, millions and the purchaser is free to do what it wants with it.

The possiblities are pretty fascinating to me. Most likely is just that a record company buys it and releases it, but that's kind of boring. I'd rather see it purchased and then released for free or even purchased and locked away (because i like mysterious stuff).

Supposesdly Prince has recorded multiple albums himself that he keeps in a vault and only occasionally plays at parties at his home.

And could this lead to artists going to a modified version of the patron days of classical music. where they produce songs/albums speicfically comissioned by and for super wealthy fans? I know a lot of them already do private parties for super rich people.

or it could just be a publicity stunt that leads to nothing. I dunno, I'm off tomorrow and it's slow at the office today.
