Avengers 2 is next year (cool). Man, 2015 is going to be insane. New Star Wars (cool). Batman vs Superman (cool). Sequels for Avatar (meh), Mission Impossible (meh), Pirates of the Caribbean (meh), Independence Day (may be cool), Die Hard (really, another one?, enough already), Taken (#2 wasn't that good, #3 better be), Fast & Furious (enough of these!), Jurassic Park (meh), Terminator (meh), Ted (yes!), Bourne (this could be cool), Hunger Games (one this year then the final one next year),
I mean, some will probably end up getting moved or not made, but still.

There's also the Gotham TV show coming out that's set pre-Batman when Bruce is a kid and Jim Gordon is the main character.
I was hoping for more of a weekly procedural with a crime/villain of the week show. Or just an adult version (as in tone/complexity, not like they're all naked) of the old animated series. Basically, CSI: Batman.

If you browse these threads a bit, you can find a discussion about the designations of nerd, geek, and dork, as well as a classification of which ones are actual insults. Not that I'd personally know or anything... I just call him my own personal computer guy. He does get a little irritated with me at times. And I really don't appreciate how he can turn my computer off in the kitchen from his bedroom at the other end of the house. I am envisioning him to have an evil smirk on his face when he does this!

There's a new article on businessweek about Kevin Feige (the head honcho for Marvel movies) where it mentions Marvel having a plan for films all the way out until 2028.
I just love how they are patient and think long-term and now you have these franchises that are all interwoven and make sense together. Just wish they had ALL the other marvel (Spidey, X-Men, Fantastic Four) characters to work with.

Captain America was incredible. I'd love to see a Dr. Strange movie. It's small, and more of an easter egg than even a cameo, but he gets a quick mention

I'd love to see a Dr. Strange movie. I believe there is one in the Marvel pipeline. Not sure on expected release date though.

Totally excited for the new Goonies movie they have been talking about. Apparently they are going to use the original actors for the sequel ..... I assume(I beg and pray) that the original Goonies are being cast as themselves in the new movie but in parental form to a new band of Goonies. Sorry can't help wanting to see this one happen. I loved the original GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE !!!!

didn't they find like a gajillion dollars worth of preceious gems and gold? why would any of them stay living in the dumpy town? what are they not living in tax-free Monaco? a sequel sounds implausible

Robert Downey Jr/Iron man are set to be in the new Captain America film. That is supposedly going to lead to a Civil War in the Marvel Universe.
Also the rumors are that Marvel is trying to work out a deal with Sony to get Spider-Man invovled one way or another.

Based on the 2nd Captain America film, and what I have seen about Captain America 3, I do believe that Marvel is moving towards the Civil War timeline from the comics. That could lead to some very interesting movies in the future. I have also heard rumor that there will be an Iron Man 4.

I wonder where this leaves the whole Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet plotline? Everyone kind of assumed that would be Avengers 3, but if they unless the make Civil War just a smaller Iron Man/Cap dispute, that kind of has to be resovled in an Avengers film first.
Maybe Infinity Gauntlet is gonna be a whole post-Avengers event/trilogy itself.
