We are scrubbing our HMDA data and have 2, I think, unique questions. #1 - consumer makes $16 million but this does not fit on the LAR. How do we handle that?
#2 - The signed application that was completed by the applicants, lists the sex of the applicants as M/M. The applicant is a female. Can we change this or do we have to report as listed?
Thank you!

If applicant marked sex as male, why do you think they are female? You should not change the applicant's answer to that question without their permission.

CIP on the applicant shows the drivers license.

OK
The bottom line is you report GMI as the applicants indicated, so unless the applicant caught the mistake in your presence, you should report the GMI as they recorded it. For the income question, i believe you just enter the largest income you can enter (i don't recall having faced that issue before, but i believe that's correct).

For income, report the largest number you can. I have had a lot of those loans over the years, in NY, CA and FL!

For sex, if the borrower selected male, the bank cannot change it.

If the bank selected based on observation, the bank can correct its mistake.
