While reviewing loans I came accross a construction loan with a purpose to put an addition on the customers already existing home (primary residence). I was unable to find a GFE or any earlies in the file. Is this a violation? I know some construction loans can be RESPA exempt, but this seems to be more of a Home improvement loan.

Sounds like this may be a temporary loan that will be converted to a permanent loan once the rennovations are complete. If that is the case temporary loans are exempt from RESPA.
