Our current OFAC process involves checking the OFAC SDN list for new and existing customers.

OFAC introduces a new list in February called the Foreign Sanction Evaders list. From my understanding, we have to check both the SDN list and the new FSE list.

Are these the only two lists to check, or are there others?

The PLC list (Palestinian Legislative Council List) is also a separate list.

That said, if you are using some kind of service to keep your lists updated, I think you'll find that they simply bundle SDN, FSE and PLC together. I do know of a vendor that distinguishes between "OFAC SDN" and "OFAC non-SDN" in their list offerings, but their customers get both, so it's not that big a deal.

For those who check manually, which we do for some processes, do you check each list individually? Has the government created a search engine to search all three at the same time?

This search tool does not include the PLC list, and it only included the FSE list entries which are also designated SDNs.

But is the FSE list separate from the SDN list? I am thinking it is.

It is a separate list. There are entries on the FSE list that are also on the SDN list, though.

All of our vendors have incorporated the FSE list(as well as the SDN and PLC) in with the OFAC searches with the exception of our credit report vendor. I was told that because the list was short they do not feel the need to include it. :-/

Yes....you read that correctly. I know...I know. At this time we are checking the each customer manually with hopes that they'll hop on board soon.
