I need some guidance for the State of Texas regarding the legal issues pertaining to Writ of Garnishment, Liens and Levies. Does anyone have procedures on how to handle such legal issues that would be willing to help me? I recently took a webinar on Garnishments which was helpful but I still have questions. Trying to write some procedures for our FI is leaving my head spinning. Thanks!
That's what I have suggested to management but they won't allow it. That's why I'm here looking for help. I agree that it can be costly. Improper handling can/will lead to a fine/fees/lawsuit so why not just pay for the legal counsil? My hands are tied.
Not as good as having legal counsel available, but the TBA Deposit Documentation Manual has some good info on such things. I think it's well worth the annual subscription to the online version.
