If we offer a refer a friend fee for referrals on consumer loans(non RESPA) can we have the friend that is referred sign that they authorize us to disclose to the referring friend that they have opened an account to avoid privacy concerns?

I suppose you could. Sounds like a lot of trouble. You will want legal involved.

We do this as well and include a privacy statement about each will know an account is opened. Our Legal department created the wording and placed it on the refer a friend coupon.
