I picked that up this weekend too, when it went on sale for the Kindle.

Right now I am reading book 3 in the Outlander series (Voyager - almost finished with that one and will move on to book 4. Book 8 comes out tomorrow.)

I finished "Timebound", 1st book in the CHRONOS series, this weekend. Not sure if I'm going on to book 2 or not. I started the sequel to The Gollywhopper Games, my 11 yo wants me to read that along with her.

Still listening to "Birthmarked" when I have time.

Aaaand I finished "Birthmarked". I liked the book overall and will get the 2nd one.

ETA - that also completes my Goodreads goal of 50 books for 2014. Maybe I should have picked a higher goal. smile

'Joyland' by Stephen King. My husband and son have both read it and liked it.

I am using my Kindle a lot. Especially since I figured out how to check out books from the elibrary.

John Waters' new book about hitch-hiking sounds hilarious.

Sounds like we have similar tastes. Lee Child? James Rollins?

I agree! We were discussing a Vince Flynn book this past weekend at a party, and my cousin said, "I love his books!" and I said it was so sad there wouldn't be any more. She was SHOCKED! I was sad I had to be the one to give her the bad news. frown

I have always been a fan of the John Sandford Prey series. I just recently purchased the first 5 books in the series from Amazon and plan on reading the entire series in order. Not in any feverish pace, but want to have them on hand. I think there is a good 20 books in the series, so it should be fun!

I love this series too. I've recently started reading his Virgil Flowers series which is also good - Virgil reports to Lucas Davenport so there's a little Davenport in each book.

Finished 2nd Gollywhopper Games (ending is very weak) and started the 3rd book in the Dust Chronicles series.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher was a travesty. Nothing like casting a 6'5" blond MP with a 5'5"(?) pretty boy.

I'm re-reading the first 4 books of The Shadows Collection by T.L. Haddix. They were some of the first books I bought on my Kindle and I forgot how good they were! (Murder/Mystery genre)

Stuck w/Avatar
Does anyone else get really irritated, I mean full on angry wanting to pull out a red marker, when there are grammatical errors in a book? I started reading a new-to-me author (whose name has slipped my mind) and I haven't even gotten two pages in and I've thrown my hands up in frustration. Seriously, find a competent editor!
