I paid $3.75 yesterday. I'm glad I filled up when I did. What's amazing is how events around the world can suddenly change the price of the gas that's already in the underground tanks at the corner gas station. I get the increase in the crude oil price as it's a fungible commodity, and MB, they all work that way. Watch what happens to the price of US soybeans when there's a drought in Argentina. But the price of gas that was already paid for by the gas station shouldn't go up. That's just gouging.

Meat prices are at their highest ever. I think another recession might hit with all of these price increases.

Interestingly, gas around here has steadily declined over the past week, to $4.09, then $4.08, and today $4.07. I love that it jumps UP by $0.21 but then comes down a penny or two at a time. I'd like to see their mathematical models for pricing. Ugh.

With fuel perks from a grocery store for one gas station, and fuel perks from a credit card for another, my husband and I got 50 gallons of gas for $20.20.
