I’ve got a confusing scenario I need help with. We have a customer that sent his secretary over to get a cashier’s check for $11,000 with cash. The teller deposited the cash to the customer’s joint account and then did a withdrawal for the cashier’s check. On the CTR, do we need 3 Part I’s-one for the transactor with 2b checked and two with 2c checked for the joint owners? Will we put their checking account for account number involved or will we put the Cashier’s Checking account number? I thought we needed to list it as 25d purchase of negotiable instrument but I’m confused since we deposited the funds.

You need a Person record for each of the joint account-holders and check 2c and a Person record for the conductor and check 2b. Insofar as how to complete 25, even though the cash was first deposited to the account prevailing guidance indicates that you should show the cash as 25d.

Just a thought: Does your policy allow for the sales of monetary instruments to non-deposit accountholders? Because unless the secretary sent to purchase the cashier's check is a deposit account holder with you, that is what just happened.
