If you search the Getting It Right guide on the word multiple, you will find that instruction. You will hit a few other uses of the word, but multiple properties will be addressed.

HMDA GIR says to report the property being purchased. In my case I have a commercial loan that is secured by multiple residential properties that is being refinanced - no purchase involved. Based on the definition of refinance, my commercial loan that is being refinanced just became HMDA reportable. Do I just pick a property to report on the LAR?

That's the method I pick. You could also report the loan multiple times on the LAR (once for each property), allocating a portion of the loan amount to each property.

Your choice to report one or all. If you report all you have to give each a unique identifier and allocate the loan amount among them.

Same as #12, we report 1 entry for the full loan amount of all properties refinanced and pick one property for the location data.

If they are at different locations, pick the one in the LMI tract.
