well, let me recommend some excellent pizza near the stadium, as everyone knows Chicago pizza is the best...
okay, when you leave the stadium, get on the El, take it to midway...fly the shuttle to Laguardia, take the train to LGA Airport terminal at Jackson heights, switch to the M line, exit at W4th Washington Square Park, walk to Bleeker Street and eat John's of Bleeker Street...best pizza ever I rarely eat out. If I had to go through all of ^^^ just to eat pizza...I'd never leave home!

As I said, we aren't going to watch the Cubs, we are going to see the visiting team. I don't care for either baseball team in Chicago.

I think it's funny when people from other areas of the country assume every time a Chicagoan orders a pizza it's deep dish pizza. yes! As a transplant to Chicago (I grew up in upstate NY), none of my husband's local family/friends (he's a native Chicagoan) ever really order deep dish, except for maybe a special occasion. That being said, it is hard to find anything close to my favorite NY city style pizza here (foldable, thin crust but not crispy.

BaconBoy, have you eaten at Grimaldi's in Scottsdale? It's pretty darn good! Never been to NYC to try out the original. I've traveled through Chicago, but have never had pizza. Some of that extreme deep dish stuff looks nauseating though...

Most pizza joints that aren't Girdanos or one of the other deep dish places just have thin crust and regular crust pizzas. We eat those 95% of the time.

thomas, no I haven't eaten there. The one time I was near one, my friend and I had ridden our bikes from CenPho in that direction. We we too sweaty to go in. Speaking of Chicago and pizza, this issue reminds me of the Orange if the New Black episode when Piper's friends find out she's in a Chicago prison and they all say, "But she hates deep dish pizza."
