Would you file a SAR if you suspect a customer is concealing income from the IRS? I don't find a box for this on the SAR form. Which box would you check? Or is it a "write-in"?

It's a write-in - Other.
Then type in your reason.

I would file only if there was strong evidence.

If you search this forum for "evasion" you can find many prior debates on "if," but MagicCity has addressed "how." (I'd use 35z.)

I have. Strong evidence can be a confession by the customer.

I would, and I would not use a threshold of evidence any higher than I would for a money laundering SAR. I have gotten into many debates on this subject, and the most common argument against it is "We don't know what their 1040 looks like." My counterpoint to that is to point out the numerous SARs filed for money laundering where we have no direct proof of a predicate crime.
