In the olden days (some may remember olden days) baseball pitchers would soak there hands in pickle juice to prevent blisters.

Packing Procedure Addendum A: Items Acquired After Initial Packing

1) Any items acquired after the initial packing shall be added within a reasonable time frame (no later than 12 hours prior to hotel check out) to the initial packing list spreadsheet brought from home (with a backup copy emailed so that it may be retrieved from the smartphone or laptop or tablet).
2) Electronic or paper alterations to the aforementioned spreadsheet will be acceptable.
3) Any such items being considered for acquisition shall be properly risk-assessed prior to purchase (and vendor of such purchase shall be properly run through the standard vendor management system and risk assessed separately) so that risk is minimized before any purchase.
4) BurntSienna or any co-traveler designee who has been properly trained and signed off may make the necessary adjustments to the spreadsheet.

Following of the above procedure addendum along with the original Packing Procedure, Packing Policy, and Packing Risk Assessment shall ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, guidance, and best practices concerning travel.

The life and times of traveling with me:

throw everything in your purse on the way out of the room since your luggage is closed and full. Wrangle your keys, purse, phone, luggage handle like a juggler. Start looking for your sunglass under everything that you've currently stuck in your purse. Ask yourself why you picked up all those brochures by the checkout desk when you knew you were not going to do/go/partake. Looking around for a trashcan. Where did my keys go? OMG, someone stole my keys...oh....wait.... here they are. grin OMG....someone stole my sunglasses......oh....wait.....never mind.

If the truth be known, I do have a spreadsheet/packinglist for motorcycle trips. Space is at a minimum and each item is important. Finding oneself in the middle of the Utah desert at 1:00am without a flashlight trying to perform the otherwise simple task of replacing a light bulb in ones headlight and 80 miles from the nearest town will teach one how to make a check list. smile

I have wonky hearing. My friends will say, "What did you hear me say?" when I get a quizzical look on my face whilst talking. They usually find what I've heard, as opposed to what they said, rather humorous.

I have a small pack that has spare bulbs, fuses, wd-40, electrical tape, flat repair kit, etc. that I always take. I alo have enough tools to damn near disassemble the bike. All of that fits under the seat and doesn't even get into the two hard bags, the trunk or the tank bag.

Ah! Very smart.. However, I see an error and important omission in your list.

You have the essential WD and electrical tape (smaller version of duct tape) BUT you are missing hay string.

You MUST add hay string! You can't have WD, Tape and NO HAY STRING!!! shocked
