I received a dispute on a debit card charge today to a hotel. Customer says they canceled the reservation but does not state if the cancellation was made prior to the 6:00 p.m.(?) deadline that most hotels go by. I'm thinking this is a dead ringer to deny the claim based on the fact that we have no way to determine if the reservation was canceled in a timely manner, according to hotel policy and customer provided the card # to hold the room. Yes? No? Thoughts?
