I'm a Windows phone girl but I think Mr EGB will be getting the 6. He likes the larger screen and several apps that he is committed to aren't made for the Windows phone.

Congrats to Apple for making way overpriced adult toys and convincing us to buy them. This toy costs anywhere from $400 to $900, doesn't it?

The problem is that people are not buying them anymore. Check out apples sales and stocks lately.

I am not an Apple devotee although I do love my iPhone. I wouldn't own an Android device if it was given to me. My husband switched to the Galaxy S5 and loathes it. I'm not one to run out an buy the latest technology so I'll wait until next year when I'm eligible for an upgrade.
I don't understand why some are making fun of Apple's ridiculous watch. Samsung did the same thing last year. It was a dumb product then and it's a dumb product now. I wouldn't buy either.

I am interested to see how the mobile wallet works though. It can't be any less secure than the retailers systems now.

Apple stock is up 40% in the last 12 months. The AAPL I bought in 2010 is up 166%. And it pays almost a 2% dividend, which beats my bank savings account.

I got a 5 just 4 days before the 6 came out. Why?
Because my 4 carpped out and the bank said I get a 5.
And that's ok with me.

I don't own an Apple computer, but I love my iPhone. They're just unbelievably reliable and problem free. I don't get the repeated downing of Apple. I get that if you don't want to buy into their processing system and sometimes forced use of whatever, but their products blow away most other phones I've used and I'll continue to buy them until I find a better reason not to.

I do love them MB. I am going to wait and see what happens with the pricing on verizon on Friday. Right now I have a 4S - 16GB. I can't decide if it's better to have the new hotness or more storage. I did some more research since my last post.

I can get a 5C - 32 GB for $29.99 now.
The 8GB will be free on Friday.
If I pay $199 I can get an iPhone 6 with just 16GB.

meh. if it lasts a couple years, you prorate that down to an extra $20-$40 or so a month. I go with a droid myself, but you do use your phone a lot and if that's your jam, there are worse, more expensive toys to have.

i have a work issued iPhone5...choice was that, galaxy 4s (who needs a phone the size of a tablet to carry around?), and i forget what the other phone option was...

my personal PC at home is a MacBook Pro, 2+ years old and no issues, still up and working within 15 seconds of powering it on...never had a PC that would be 2 years old that would begin working as fast after 2 years. oh, and never had a virus, either.

also have an ipad that i use to goof off with, most of my internet use is done on this as the youngster is playing on the Mac.

For what i use them for, i have found them to be reliable products that work well. Have never had an issue with any apple product.

as far as the watch...nah, i have my Oris for fancy and Timex Ironman for casual...certainly don't need a 3rd.

I've had a HTC phone for 4 years now, I'm really annoyed with my DNA loosing the SIM card ALL THE TIME. I've had the card replaced and the phone replaced and still have the problem. Several people at work are trying to talk me into an iphone, but to get a comparable screen size I'd want the big one. I cannot see me paying $299 for a phone though. $199 for this one was bad.

How does your DNA get ahold of your SIM card?

Jen, I have a DNA as well and I have not had the SIM card issue. Which carrier do you have? I have been satisfied overall with the HTC phone.
