Does NC have a law/regulation with a timeframe for the closing agent to get final documents such as recorded mortgage/title policy to the lender, or is that a contract issue?

None that I am aware of Rocky. The statutes don't mention anything.

I think you are right - it's going to be up to the agreement between settlement agent and lender.

I scanned the NC Bar Association's and the State Bar's websites, but found no rules there.
