OK, picking with my mind:
Cubs beat Braves SF beats Marlins
NY beats Twins Red Sox beat Athletics
SF beats Cubs NY beats Red Sox
SF beats NY
Now, picking with my heart:
Cubs beat Braves SF beats Marlins (still can't root for that FL team after they bought a World Series)
Twins beat NY Red Sox beat Athletics
Cubs beat SF Red Sox beat Twins
Cubs beat Red Sox in 7 games with walk off homer by Paul Bako.

Optimism rules this thread, I see (and that's okay). It'd be great to see the Cubs and the Red Sox, but I think it will probably be San Francisco vs New York. New York wins. Really, I don't know much about any of the teams, other than the fact that I have followed the final weeks of the season on SportsCenter. Seems to me the Cubs struggled to get in at the end.

The Twins could have been in trouble when starter Johan Santana had to leave the game after four innings with a leg cramp. But as it turned out, it was the Yankees who were in trouble. Four relievers combined to allow just the one run over the last five innings and the Twins took Game 1, 3-1.

Yea Twinkies! A good portion of those that don't like the Twins are full-time Yankee haters. Is this a five or seven game series?

Cardinals are in the post-season for the 4th straight year, and the 5th out of the last six. All 81 home games had at least 40,000 paid attendance.
So glad I'm not a Cubs fan.

Hoping the Royals can do some good. Not a die-hard fan of theirs or anything, but they are (relatively) close by and it's been a long time since they were in the playoffs.

Brett is now a VP with the team and the go to guy for the younger players to not listen to when he gives batting advice to them.

That's who I am rooting for too (uphill battle to say the least). It gives me hope, if the Royals can turn it around so can the Twins

The one game wild card playoff thing is pretty stupid IMO. Should at least be 2 out of 3.

yup ... we get used to disappointment in MN. Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, Wild ... the only bright spot we have is women's basketball. GO LYNX!!!

I've been rooting for the Royals since they entered the league in 1969. It's been a long, long drought since 1985.
Go KC!!!
