Hello:

I am drawing a blank if the bank is required to force place on contents coverage as well as dwelling coverage for flood force placed polices?

Thanks -

If you have both the building and contents as collateral, yes you do.

I believe you need to specifically list the contents in your mortgage though correct to show proof of content coverage for collateral purposes. Generally our mortgages just list the property address on the mortgage, so contents coverage would not be applicable then correct?

Thanks-

Typically, contents are only taken as collateral on commercial deals and then that would typically require the filing of a UCC.

Trying to take personal property as collateral has its pitfalls.
