I am scheduled to give our board of directors Reg O training in a couple of weeks. I am new to the lending compliance area and wondered if anyone had any good training ideas or topics to cover. Thank you.

Start with the Reg O tools located in the compliance part of the Banker Tools section, including "Reg O in a Box" from Pam Zyblut and a Reg O flow chart from Jim Bedsole.

A good idea is to download and print the director's guide from the FRB and go over with them.

Thanks MB, but we are talking about Directors,
it has to be simple and painless because they
really don't want to hear about it.

I have an old Reg. O "Compliance Quickie" (yes, I try to make it fun where I can) in Word that I used. But Reg. O isn't painless and there is a huge amount of detail that is required. Many questions are prompted from directors and execs when you start telling them they have to tell you who they are related to, who they borrow from, and that the public can ask how much debt your insiders have, and more!

It has to be detailed instruction, in my opinion, to be worthwhile. Otherwise, you can give generalities and hope that when specific questions come up, they'll call.

Andy,
Would you be so kind as to email that to me? Oh, and I know
it can't really be painless, just that they want me to simplify
the program as mush as possible...
Thanks

Has Reg O changed at all in the past few years? Could you email me the short presentation that you have on hand? I need to provide training to my Board as well! Many thanks,
