Love Peyton, but as I said before, I'm not set on being able to call him the better quarterback and feel I could easily make the argument in favor of Brady. Really, I think they are just that close. And I think the team success should tip the scale in favor of Brady. And as I've said before, "You could absolutely make the argument, and wouldn't be wrong in doing so. On the other hand, I'm confident I could make a strong argument that Manning is better and I also would not be wrong in doing so." However, I am also not ready to call Manning the greatest....and I am not ready to call Brady the greatest, because (as you've said) they're just that close......INDIVIDUALLY...... I think its pretty clear that I don't agree with your sentiment that TEAM success sways the matter; unless you're going to apply that to all "great players" evenly. Barry Sanders never even saw the Super Bowl, unless it was at home on his couch......so he doesn't deserve respect as one of the greatest running backs to have played?

I think it is reasonable to include it to some degree in such a comparison. Certainly not going so far as to suggest, for instance, that Marino must have sucked. As most of us have said, it is a very balanced comparison. It's a team game, I think that makes team success somewhat relevant. That's why I suggested tipping the scale, ever so slightly .

You mean Christian Ponder isn't a great QB cuz the Vikings haven't had much success? Or he isn't a great QB cuz he can't find his rear end with both hands? Which is it?

You mean Christian Ponder isn't a great QB cuz the Vikings haven't had much success? Or he isn't a great QB cuz he can't find his rear end with both hands? Which is it? Well, it's a little of the first one, mostly the second one. Though, really, how much emphasis should we place on one's ability to find his own rear end? Isn't it much more important to be able to find the center's rear end? But, just like Brady, Ponder gets extra hot wife points. Not sure how he stacks up in the scrunchies department.

Christian Ponder isn't a great QB because he sucks. And the proximity of his hands to his rear end is irrelevant in this equation....... Can't vouche for the hotness factor of his wife though....lol

"chicken parm you taste so good" it's because he has a girl's name Otto Graham was the best quarterback ever because he was named after Ottoman from The Simpsons!
I know, I just added that to his Wikipedia profile. I love the pure randomness of some of your posts.....just genious!!!

Why is this still a debate, I thought I settled it? We got together as a group and decided to discount any opinions of yours as they relate to Peyton Manning due to your prior insistance that Charles Woodson deserved to win the 1997 Heistman Trophy. ^^^that is still one of the biggest mockeries in sports history. Panel had to prove there was no biased opinion in the SEC.....HAHAHA

When did I ever have or share that opinion? (More Manning fans crying about yet another Michigan player beating their man at something?) At least I know how to spell Heisman.

When did I ever have or share that opinion? (More Manning fans crying about yet another Michigan player beating their man at something?) Would have sworn we discussed this before. Perhaps it's just your allegiance to Michigan, and I made the assumption. My apologies if so, though the second question above leads me to believe I was on the right track. But speaking of what happens when U assUme... At least I know how to spell Heisman. That's very good. Do you know how to define Heist?
