let's not get crazy here. Peyton. no doubt.

Unless you're asking who's career you'd rather have--because an extra ring and NYC would be tempting...

DeeQ stole my answer. laugh

But for the sake of the argument in this thread, I'll go with Eli. At least he can beat Brady when it counts. grin

Peyton won his SB ring playing (poorly) against Rex Grossman. Big whoop.

He has beautiful regular season numbers, though. Little brother has 2 rings - and I would think rings mean more to NFL players than individual stats.

well, if nothing else, when they fall on hard times they can sell the rings to the Pawn Stars guys, they seem to have a ton of NFL championship rings in stock...hard to sell a stat.

For Sox laugh

Let us not forget that the Patriots were at a severe disadvantage of having to play without tapes of the opposition team for the first year.

They did not know at the time that "76 Union Y Sail" meant to catch the ball with the helmet? Ohhh sorry that play was not in the Jets playbook and they were playing the Giants.

Peyton Freaking Manning. He has better commercials than Eli.

Takes a whole team to win a super bowl, and like Peyton said - it takes someone to catch the ball when he throws it.

Let's not forget that guys like Trent Dilfer have Super Bowl rings. A ring doesn't make you a better quarterback, it means you were part of a great TEAM.

Peyton gets my vote. There are great players who have never been on a (winning) SB TEAM, but that doesn't diminish their individual talent.

Trent Dilfer wasn't an option. wink

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. I think everyone is too high on Peyton - again, my opinion.

Let's look at it this way:
Eli went to 2 superbowls. Won both.
Peyton went to 3 superbowls. Won one (playing very poorly - look at the stats), lost 2, one of which was a humiliating loss where he couldn't do anything right.

I'm not saying Peyton isn't an amazing QB, but he's always an implosion waiting to happen. Just like Eli.

If I had a choice, I wouldn't pick either. grin
