Yes. Or maybe hanging Christmas ornaments.

My husband and I will continue our tradition of watching our first Christmas movie that night - 'A Christmas Story'. I think we watch between 20-25 Christmas movies between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Turkey, probably two of them to ensure enough leftovers. Grans insist I make turkey potpies over the weekend after half the guests leave.

Black Friday evening we break out White Christmas and sing along. Actually, it's more like karaoke and a lot of fun. It's our official start of the Christmas season.

Both. We usually do a family breakfast then eat the thanksgiving meal around 2:00. Then snacking on your own the rest of the day.

Traditional Turkey at my house. Small gathering, me, my two kids and their spouses and my granddaughter. Planning on meal being early evening so we can cook during little one's nap and I don't have to get up at early thirty to put the turkey in the oven. But it will be on Saturday this year as my DIL has one on Thursday and SIL family has theirs on Friday.

Apparently, I start becoming a scrooge before Thanksgiving. I've cringed reading all this Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy and Let's eat, sing and watch movies stuff on here!

This is my 3nd year away from my OK family during Thanksgiving/Christmas. We're still working out the "tradition" kinks but turkey is a must.

This year I am going to make a couple of things my family would usually make that the family here does not eat. I will make a small portion so I can have a little piece of home. smile

MonkEE, I do that too. If we go to SIL's, I have to make / bring sweet potato casserole and corn bread stuffing. Who cares if my kids and I are the only ones who eat them, we like them!

I don't get dressing made out of anything but cornbread. I don't want to eat dressing made out of bread.

We will have a mini Thanksgiving this year. Probably just a turkey breast, potatoes, gravy, rolls, and green beans. We will have a huge pot luck breakfast, so that will be more than enough.

I grew up with dressing made out of bread and it's my favorite. I can eat (and even make) the cornbread dressing, but it's not something I crave.

My mom made the best dressing made out of dried bread. Still trying to perfect it. And my family always asks for Sweet Potato Casserole. I have a recipe that uses apples and pecans and it is to die for!!!

Same here, being raised on bread dressing. Never acquired a taste for cornbread.

out of the frying pan...
My dressing is roughly 2/3 cornbread and 1/3 biscuits. I like the way the texture turns out with that blend.
