Cool!

Well the boy didn't get a HR so he is still chasing that record. Had a double header this weekend.

Won both games. First game won 7-5. The boy had the game winning 2 run triple in the top of the 7th. He hit the ball over the center fielder's head that one hopped against the wall. (On a normal field would have been a HR) He went 3-4, had the triple and the 2 RBI.

Second game, we won 22-2. He went 3-4, 2 doubles and a triple. The last double was a 3 run shot that hit the wall 3 feet up in the air at the 325 mark. This is a minor league field they play on 315 down the line and 375 center field. Eight-foot walls. Heck of a shot, any of our normal fields it would have been a home run.

I found out this morning that my oldest son is ranked 26 in a class of 520+. Top 5% of the class of 2018!

Well, he did it, hit the record breaking HR to tie the game in the first game of the tourney. Cleared a 8 foot wall at the 325 mark. When I went to get the ball, there was a man walking with it and tried waving me off.

I said, "I want that ball!" then explained to him why. He gladly gave it to me. He said it cleared a car sitting across the road behind the wall. So, it was about a 365 shot.

Wow! That's great!

Woke up this morning and hugged my 3 year old boy, then wished my daughter a happy 1st birthday.

It's a beautiful day. These kids are crazy, but you look at life with a different view. They have also pushed me to faith and strengthened my relationship with God in an awesome way.

This past week, my son has been house and dog sitting for my parents while they are on vacation with my brother's family. I went over there last night to check the house and make sure everything is going okay. He has had a friend staying there with him, which my folks had said was fine. Well, my son is growing very frustrated because all his friend is doing is sleeping and eating. His friend is almost 20 years old, doesn't go to school, and doesn't have a job. My son and this friend were considering getting an apartment at the end of the summer. I sat down with my son last night and had a conversation with him. He expressed his frustration and said there's no way he'd get an apartment with this guy because he's so lazy and he knows he'd end up having to cover all the expenses. It was one of those "a-ha" moments for my son and it was good for me to see that he's making wise decisions and has been able to look far enough into the future to know it wouldn't be a good idea to live with this guy.

I also found out that my son went over to my grandma's house yesterday to check on her and make sure she was doing okay. My mom is usually over there everyday and my son was concerned that grandma was lonely since my mom has been gone. I hadn't asked him to check on her either. It really warmed my heart to know that he was thinking of her and made an effort to go visit her. He also went around her yard to see what trees and bushes need trimming so he can come back and get that done for her. Grandma was really excited to see him and couldn't wait to tell me.

Sometimes I wonder how well we've raised him, but moments like the ones yesterday give me comfort! Three weeks from today he'll be a high school graduate and will be leaving the next day to fight fires all summer. Mom is a little emotional!

My daughter won three medals and a team trophy in swimming (I can barely float these days)

one was for total most laps 8 years and under. She got second for total consecutive laps.

That is pretty cool.

except for the first day of laps when my wife told my daughter she will donate $2 per lap and she did 112.

I hope she doesn't insist on paying more than sticker price for a car too

My #4 grandson graduates from kindergarten this Thursday and #5 grandson graduates from pre-school.

My 20 year old remembered his dentist appointment this morning!!! Color me amazed lol.

Well, today, the baby of the house, my son graduates High School. I am so proud of the young man he has become. Time has flown by way too fast. This fall will be very lonely in the house with him and the daughter both away at college. :sigh:

Big Guy graduated Magna [censored] Laude, with a BS in Computer Science.
Now, we are praying he finds a job, which he needs to pay his enormous student loans.
