The BOL rocker obits informs again.

Are we getting old or what?

Now I'm going to have "Itchycoo Park" running through my head all day and I never really cared for it.

Indeed, Mr. McLagan will be rocking somewhere as he rests. The Faces' 1971 album, “A Nod Is as Good as a Wink ... to a Blind Horse,” propelled Rod Stewart’s popularity. Mr. McLagan was also featured on several of Stewart’s albums, including “Gasoline Alley” and “Every Picture Tells a Story.... backup for the Stones and Dylan.

He wasn't born in Texas, but he got here as soon as he could and played the last 20 years in some of Austin's finest venues.

Appropriate words from Gasoline Alley for Mr. McLagan:

But if anything should happen and my plans go wrong
Should I stray to the house on the hill
Let it be known that my intentions were good
I'd be singing in my alley if I could

And if I'm called away and it's my turn to go
Should the blood run cold in my veins
Just one favor I'll be asking of you
Don't bury me here, it's too cold

Take me back, carry me back
Down to Gasoline Alley where I started from
Take me back, won't you carry me home
Down to Gasoline Alley where I started from
