Indeed, Mr. McLagan will be rocking somewhere as he rests. The Faces' 1971 album, “A Nod Is as Good as a Wink ... to a Blind Horse,” propelled Rod Stewart’s popularity. Mr. McLagan was also featured on several of Stewart’s albums, including “Gasoline Alley” and “Every Picture Tells a Story.... backup for the Stones and Dylan.
He wasn't born in Texas, but he got here as soon as he could and played the last 20 years in some of Austin's finest venues.
