The greatest. I remember sneaking back into the living room when i was supposed to be sleeping to watch him on Conan. I still say he's the greatest weekend update host ever.

Colberts last show as "Stephen Colbert" is tonight. Ferguson ends his show tomorrow. Letterman has until May then he's done.

Larry Wilmore starts his show to replace Colbert on Jan 19.

James Corden starts on the late late show March 23rd

Colbert is supposed to start on the late show sometime in August or September.

Way, way south.
Will Colbert be himself on the Late Show, or will he continue to do his schtick?

I'm so pitiful because I don't care. I quit watching the Cowboys after Landry and quit watching late-night after Carson.

noelekal, I agree, but I was wondering how the Late Show will use someone who not many people actually know who the "real" Colbert is. Just a strange situation/selection since his old show was primarily based on his comedic persona and not himself.

I'm not sure there is that big of a difference between the "real" and "fake" Colbert

All this moving around of channels and timeslots, there should be space for Norm somewhere! Norm always cracked me up with his delivery, lots of "uh," placeholders in just the right spots, like he was thinking up his jokes as he went along. And on Weekend Update, I know they had a lot of writers for him, but I always loved:

"Ford this week recalled two models of cars saying that they might explode during refueling. At Ford, quality is Job One. And Job Two? MAKING. YOUR CAR. EXPLODE."
