Our Correspondent Lending dept. would like to send emails to clients immediately upon purchase of their loan. This would occur prior to the official RESPA Servicing Notice and/or Reg. Z Notice of New Creditor. I can't find anything that indicates the Notices have to be the first communication. We're looking for any thoughts or concerns on this.

Why emails? What does your lending department hope to accomplish with these anyway?

I'd be worried that these emails would not go out secured and might even need to be ESign compliant because they're going to contain sensitive information.

I agree with TR. What value is there??

You actually want to train your customers not to pay one lick of attention to financial related e-mails from unknown sources and the first communication you want to have with a customer is an unsolicited e-mail??

Someone has the cart before the horse or a screw loose or something like that smile
