Any Oklahoma fans want to call the ACC a second rate garbage conference? Yikes!

Not an Oklahoma fan, but I will...the ACC is a second rate garbage conference this year. Which must make the Big12 a first rate garbage conference. My thoughts exactly, but I don't want to start name calling until the bowl season is over.

My thoughts exactly, but I don't want to start name calling until the bowl season is over. But it's much more fun to do it now, before all the dust settles. Now, it's trash talk. Later, it's just re-hash talk. The possibility that something you say could turn out embarrassingly wrong adds a little edge.

Will be watching Baylor beat MSU (Cotton Bowl) tomorrow in the comfort of home. Several bank people are going to Jerry's World, so maybe I'll see some of them on the big screen.

TCU is whipping Ole Miss which would make the Big XII 1-2 vs SEC teams.
The SEC does not look very good at all IMO.
A few weeks ago I remember a poster (but don't remember who) touting how Missouri and ATM had some success in the SEC. Well I would say the SEC's weakest confrerence. Yet the B12 champion was from a non AQ conference.

"The top-ranked Crimson Tide simply doesn't lose games of this magnitude. But not only did No. 1 Alabama fall 42-35 to No. 4 Ohio State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl,it surrendered an enormous yardage total (537 yards) and completely got away from the staples of Saban's best seasons in Tuscaloosa." ESPN
So this is what it means to Roll Tide
Go Bucks, beat the Ducks!!!

Florida State couldn't be bothered to shake hands after the game. Just walked off into the locker room. Stay classy, Seminoles.

I'm tired, staying up late to watch the Bucks beat Bama. Even I thought the SEC West was the best division in the country, and they went 1-5 in bowl games - Yikes!
Looks like parity is returning to college football. Maybe the Big 10, ACC and Big 12 aren't as bad as everyone thought.
Go Bucks!
O-H

Q: Why wasn't FSU only ranked #3 over 2 1 loss teams? A: 59-20

These games have been great to watch. Can we finally just forget the rankings and polls and committees-of-'experts', and let these things be decided on the field. Put the conference champs in the play-offs and let them play it out. Now if someone can reallign everyone into 8 geographically sensical conferences, that would be wonderful.

Well, so far the Big 10(13) is 5-4 and will probably finish 5-5 in the bowls. (Iowa vs Tenn today)
Minn, Maryland, Ill should not have received Bowl invites, they are not bowl caliber teams. But overall not bad performance for a "Weak" conference.

all in all, some fairly boring bowl games...SEC had what I think is their worst bowl showing ever - at least that I can remember although i'm sure someone with more time on their hands could do a schematic of the past 46 years of bowl games by SEC teams to prove my memories incorrect.
Haven't seen Oregon play all year, aside from the 2nd ugliest uniforms in college football (have to give the worst to Maryland), they looked like the team to beat for the title.

Not an Oklahoma fan, but I will...the ACC is a second rate garbage conference this year. Which must make the Big12 a first rate garbage conference. I hope that you're not a Mississppi State fan. But maybe that's why we haven't heard from you today. Too busy mentally preparing for my Vols to dispatch some Big10 remnants in the "There's Still Bowl Games Today?" Bowl this afternoon, and improve the SEC East's bowl record to 4-0. You have a big game today too, right? Maybe it will help the ACC's dismal overall bowl record this year a little bit. And, yes, GTech is playing some awfully good football right now (especially for a team that lost back-to-back games to Duke and UNC halfway through the season). Also agree that the SECW has been very disappointing. Doesn't change my opinion of the ACC though. I'll just note that sometimes you can find a treasure or two whilst dumpster diving.
