I'm up for 16 next year though smile

To go with 16, they need to shorten the regular season.

I think 4 is a good number. We need to remember these are STUDENT/Athletes.

Where I am supposed to be
Very nice win, especially for a team using its 3rd string quarterback. It will be interesting to see how tOSU's quarterback situation plays out for next year.

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
I was so tired I went to be at the end of the 3rd quarter when the score was 20-21 Ohio thinking it could go either way. Looks like Ohio picked up the pace 4th quarter. Congratulaions Buckeyes!

The Buckeyes were very impressive. I wish my team had a first string QB as good as their third stringer.

I was disappointed in Oregon's generic uniforms. The only thing missing was the word 'College' across the chest.

The play-off seemed to be a huge success. And other than the final ending after midnight on a Monday night, it was great.

I suppose I can claim victory since my Grandmother is an Ohio State graduate...she has a bachelor degree in home economics...with 8 kids, 35+ grandkids, 15+ great grandkids before she died, she obviously did well...

Nice year for the Big 10! Blowio State put to rest the whining from TCU and Baylor.

This just goes to show that games don't always go the way the experts think. The way the experts had them ranked Florida State and Alabama would have been playing for the Championship under the old system. With the playoff, the #4 team won it all.

which means the ranking system is clearly flawed and will need to be completely revamped in the next year or 2 if "credibility" is to be brought back to college football...

Yeah, well let's start with that "student/athlete" concept before we worry about ranking systems.

If we're talking credibility. smirk

I think Cardale Jones should declare for the draft.

Right now, he's on top of the World. undefeated, champion, beat 3 of the best teams in the country. Big arm, strong, fast, accurate. Someone will talk themselves into taking him in the first 3 rounds. But...

He might not actually be that good. He's a third year college guy who wasn't even the backup. He's probably got some flaws that just haven't been exposed yet. Even if he comes back there's no guarantee he'd start.

And now's the best time to cash in. . NFL draft stock may never be higher, but also it's peak time to cash in on the national championship. He can probably make more in autographs and appearances and endorsements right than the value of another two years at Ohio State. And that's before any NFL deal.

The Jets would take him in the first round as decent QBs will be taken and then we will all seen the hidden flaws.

Final rankings have just come out and TCU jump the semi-finalists to come in at #3!

And according to the Way-Too-Early poll, they are #1 in 2016. Alabama is #10.

Cardale Jones is the guy who tweeted "Why do we have to go to class? We're here to play football not play school." We'll see how he does studying an NFL playbook.

i'n guessing since there were 4 semi-finalists, moving to #3 means they jumped a semi-finalist...

but funny that they put out a final ranking, since it has no bearing on anything except egos, fomenting arguments, and maybe some coaching bonuses where they have riders for finishing in a certain slot or higher

I would think a final ranking would have
1. tOSU
2. Oregon
3. Alabama
4. FSU
Then the rest could be shuffled.

And next year, any poll that doesn't have tOSU as number one is not a credible Poll.
