I need someone familiar with CA settlements to help me sort through a situation we have. Our company owns an affiliate title company who is not licensed in CA. They currently have a work share agreement in place with a licensed CA title/escrow company but our title company is receiving compensation for doing specific work per the work share agreement. The CA title/escrow company is not reflecting any fees paid to our affiliate for their work on the HUD-1. I believe this is incorrect but the CA company is refusing to change. It disguises the fact that the affiliate earns fees as well as makes it impossible to determine if we are out of tolerance on our fees. If someone who can offer insight to this could PM me for further details it would be appreciated.
