One of our offices, unbenounced to the compliance department, has decided it is to busy on "some" Saturdays to pick up the mail from the post office and run it-including loan payments. They run them on the following Monday-if we're open and have neglected to "back date" them-they didn't know they had to!!!! My question is, what is considered "received" by the bank. If we have a "post office box" registered to the bank, is mail considered received by the bank if it is received in our post office box? I think I consider the PO box to be an extension of the bank. If it were hanging on the front of the building it would be considered received . . . why would the PO box not be the same. Your thoughts? Thanks
