Good Morning,

I recently submitted a batch of CTR files that were accepted, but had errors. The errors were T10 and F24. Essentially, I was trying to submit the date range 2/23 through 2/27, but accidentally put the ending date as 3/27. This also meant that more reports were submitted than I thought would be (36 instead of 20). My question is how should I correct these errors without creating a duplicate filing? Any help is appreciated.

While it's possible that someone here might be in a position to tell you exactly what to do, your actions would be more defensible to a third party's criticisms if you got your advice from the FinCEN Resource Center, 800.767.2825.

I am having a devil of a time getting a response from FinCEN. I left a voice message for them on the 6th, but still haven't received a response. So, I sent a follow up email on the 11th. Still nothing. I've never had to wait this long for a response, which worries me. Anyone else had issues getting responses from FinCEN in the last week?

Charlied - I've had the same experience this month. I called them sometime the last week in February with a specific CTR question, and just emailed them again on the 11th with the same question - no response. Usually I get a response the next day. It has been a little while since I've called though, maybe they're busier now.
