How are other banks handling cases where a customer calls into to initiate a claim and the date the funds were to be available has not been reached yet?

Are you opening the claim as Reg E on the date the client calls in even though the date has not passed or allowing the date available to pass and then opening the claim?

What is the nature of the claim? There's no claim for non-receipt or late receipt. Is the sender hedging his bet that the transfer won't get there on time? I would not process the claim until the date has passed.
