I use to have a pigeon that somehow decided to take up residence in on my garage door when it was up!
Really creepy to be outside doing something I could feel something watching me! It was awhile before I discovered the bird-poopin guy!

I'd like to have a bat box, too, bOaty, but since I have kids and dogs, the possibility of disease stops me. But, the bats would really enjoy the mosquitos that reside in our area!

Michigan finally got 2 beautiful, sunny days in a row - and on a weekend!
My lobster-like sin is proof. Darn-it... spring's first break-in-the-weather... gets me every other year or so and I forget about that sunscreen.

The first pool party of the season was a splash! I was able to get a base tan Saturday afternoon.

I find it hard to understand how, when ending business with a certain large garbage company, they charge you $40. I am not mid contract or anything! $40! time to contact customer service and see how high I can climb the complaint ladder! Jerks!

I have long suspected that they guy who drives the garbage truck in our neighborhood dislikes me. I have tried to say hello on a couple of occasions when I am walking the dog and have gotten a blank stare. I've seen him talk to the other neighbors on occasion. This morning when surveying the neighborhood after he went through - the lid of every garbage can was neatly placed on top of their can while mine was laying 6 feet away in the driveway. Maybe it's time to switch companies, but then I would be faced with a year or so of forgetting when the new garbage day is....

Just be glad they aren't coming by to visit you personally and break your kneecaps.

I was being introduced to a new hire, and in my stupor (was trying to review an SSAE report for some insurance product or other), I forgot there was a bowl and spoon sitting on my desk, directly in the path between my keyboard and where the person was standing.
In short, I knocked over the bowl (empty, thankfully!) and sent the spoon flying at her. Hey, welcome, oh and this won't be the last time I throw something at you, so don't screw up!

I wonder if my garbage people appreciate the bag of cat litter clumps I put in the trash every other week
at least it's in its own bag, one of those with Fabreeze in it, though two week's of litter gunk is pretty much more than the Fabreeze can handle

Do your trash people still actually touch the trash?
Our town we have trucks with robot arms that grab it. Trash guy almost never leaves the AC cabin of his truck.

Yeah, Wolfy, that's what we have. The city provides two big wheelie bin, one for garbage and one for recycling. The truck picks it up, empties, and drops it in your neighbor's yard.
The only thing they pick up by hand is yard waste.

I have to present at the Audit Committee meeting at noon, the Board meeting at 4:00, and the employee meeting at 6:00. Going to be a very busy day.

You should reschedule them all to noon and present them the same thing, then just walk out as they stand there quite puzzled.

One Third of Households Making More Than $75,000 Live Paycheck to Paycheck
Among U.S. households earning more than $75,000 a year, nearly a third live paycheck-to-paycheck at least part of the time, a survey by SunTrust Bank has found. The same is true for more than one-fourth of households with annual income topping $100,000. Forty-three percent of middle-class survey respondents said they do not save enough or are unsure if they are on track. Some low saving rates are related to poor spending habits, with many households admitting they indulge too much on leisure. The study did not factor in details such as family size, healthcare needs, or student loans -- all of which could make it more difficult to live on $75,000 a year. Stagnant wages have made it more difficult to keep up with increased living expenses, healthcare, and tuition. People may be able to save more, however, if they have a better idea of where their money is going and if they have a specific goal in mind, such as buying a house or planning a vacation.

The more you make, the more you spend. Having a high paying job doesn't make you financially intelligent, which we see regularly in our collections department, as I'm sure most other financials do! I feel like I'd enjoy living paycheck to paycheck on that salary more than I do living on my current one and being financially "responsible" with my money though. I'd certainly drink higher class stuff!
