And what's with the downsizing of Diet Dr. Pepper from the 24 oz. plastic bottle 6 pack to 16.9 oz.? Price is pretty much the same, but no more 24 oz. to be found around here.

Nor Ruffles Smokehouse BBQ Potato Chips. I checked the Frito Lay site for stores in my area and they do carry Ruffles, but not Smokehouse BBQ

Ride your bike to work day has been canceled this morning and replaced with cross country ski to work day.

I missed it. I'll have to drive home at lunch, get my bike and ride back.

Saw the snow at the Tigers game yesterday, my condolences to the folks living up there.

I missed it, too, but considering we had frost warnings this morning, I don't think I would have done it this year. I had to cover the lettuce last night. Is it really April?

Wells Fargo Looks for Non-Traditional Compliance Hires

Wells Fargo Chief Compliance Officer Yvette Hollingsworth says increased enforcement, regulatory changes, and new sanctions have put compliance staff in high demand at banks. However, she says the perception that "banks are bad" has put a damper on compliance recruitment, leading to a shortage of candidates that has prompted her to "think more creatively about talent sourcing" and look past traditional compliance roles. She says she invited an engineer who had a negative view about banks to coffee so she could explain that banks are large institutions that help ordinary people achieve their goals. After getting him to look past issues like foreclosure, she notes that he recently sent her his resume. Among other things, Hollingsworth recently hired PhDs for the first time and is looking to hire other quantitative types to analyze streams of transaction data to help the bank identify suspicious activity.

We even had a very summer like storm last night with warm rain and TONS of lightning and thunder. The show went on for a couple of hours!!
